Ladies and Gents, every since i found the JRC mud racing track i have enjoyed every minute of it, however when conflict happens we all need to act as we should being examples in front of our future which is our children, they take everything in as it is placed in front of them. Just remember as a whole we are in it for the fun not the payroll... Lets provide good examples for our future which is our children. God Bless... :-)

Was thinking back tonight when this place first opened..It was trying to take over the Pole Cat Mud bog as it was on its way out..All the local guys were on board to help PAPA..Mr.Gerald and family got up and running..Eventually Jumping Run took over..and man itwas wide open! ..Billboards..Flyers everywhere..advertisements.It was great for many years..At least 2 big shows a year..1 for Glenn and a Jamboree./.and no expense was worried about..We saw the fastest trucks in the Southeast show up for a pass or 2!!Well Papa has passed but is still watching..I have seen the closest of friends/family be barred from the track for arguments..We are adults and we can fix our problems if we choose too..I have watched the billboards fall apart, I have seen flyers not hung anymore..I have heard all of it..WHY? because I consider myself part of this track! I upset some people with just a comment..Friends..we gotta do better than this if we want to make this dream survive..We gotta set some rules before the end of season..We gotta support the local boys who keep the Dream alive..We cant buy the big guys..but with the right rules,we can all survive together and make this place what it set out to be..Like Hank has said if your in it for money..its the wrong hobby!! Its gotta be fun,but competitive..If not we lose everyone..Honest discussion..submit!!
OLD SCHOOL:
Well said Mike I have done my fair share of causing problems but i always supported the track and will as much as hate to say it probaly do so in the future because it is close to home and where all of my peeps are at. They do need to make some rules and leave them for a few years and look out more for the people who support them not the guys that show up once in blue moon because they throw some money at them. well maybe i will see you guys next year that is if my termination doesnt get extended.
|
Barney:
Mikey you are right, if your racing for money its the wrong hobby true statement, but if a rule is a rule, then keep it. Dont change it because someone threw a fit or they drove 5 hours to get here and failed to call and ask, but they bend the rules to let them race. That is not good buisness practice's. If the operations side can be seperate from the racers and let the rules stand then its good racing. But when it gets personal then its goes all wrong. People have fussed and raised three types of He@@ about somes ones truck, but not a single person has pulled out 150, and yet classes change and peoples runs get disqualified its not right, and pits change during the race cause the times are faster and so on. But consistancy is what we all want, professional racing and not bullsh$t. I am a local guy, been for 15 years or so, on and off cause of military but, we need to come with good recommendations and not just compliants. Put MRA rules in effect then we can all race at other tracks and it takes the complaining out, or keep what we have and enforce them and if a racer spends the money to keep within the rules, then dont hate start buying. My two cents for what its worth.
|
Hank:
Hey yall I was not in favor of the MRA rules but if it puts a end to all the complaining then I guess I will be for it. Don't change the rules for me though do it for the bettering of the pit. Now this includes getting the trucks ALL trucks checked not just takin our words for it what it is. This means getting to the pit early to get teched and the pit personnel actually takin the time to inspect the truck. There should be no reason to protest a truck because it should already be looked at by the officials. If that truck gets to the starting line and makes a run there should be no protesting at that point of the leagality of the truck to run said class. When you pull in the track you get a tech sheet and it has to be signed by the tech man and it should be marked what classes said truck is allowed to race. EVERY!!!!!!!!!!! Race not just the first one. Heck I get blamed for all kinds of sh**t and my hood stays up all night which any one can look any time they feel the need. Somebody put the fun back in this sport. We as parents and racers are just teaching our children that race alot of the wrong ideas. EX. well it isn't cheatin if you don't get caught. That is something to teach your child isn't it. Guess that if they are taking a test in school and they look at the kids paper next to them its ok as long as they dont get caught right? They are goi ng to grow up and do what they see us do. Just Sayin . Don't know what answer to this is to fix all but the more it gets stired the more its gonna stink.
|
Mikey B:
Its not stirring..its called discussion..Hank you and I know we will cut every rule to the razors edge..I have heard everyone use the phrase you talked about --in adult company. Its always the same 3 or 4 guys that either argue or stand up for this track..everyone else stands idly by..You are right..tech sheet on the way in..BUT..if you think something has changed during the evening..put up 200$ and be teched down..the tech inspector is the one person that should be able to check trucks at any time during the night..You are right it is all for fun and the family...But you still need to be competitive in your class..The trucks and drivers keep us all in business..I love the track think the Sandersons are a good family..and me and Craig disagree on almost everything..Doesnt mean I dont love going their..I could type all night..Im not knocking any of it..we just need to have some clarity where we want to go..with rules and classes..
|
Hank:
Mikey you are right about most of that I will agree. The one thing that I want to know is have you ever seen anyone put up that money to protest. I know my truck got pulled to the line the first race of the year and I was told to shut it off and lift the hood to see if it was legal. In which it was but I didn't see any protest money put up. Heck I really don't care if they do or don't cause if I didn't think it was legal It wouldn't be in the class. You and I have been to NMRO shows and the truck gets teched by the tech men or women and they tell you where you can race and that is it right. You know we can go by NMRO MRA or Jungle rules as far as I care but lets just stick to them for more than 15 seconds and make them apply to each and everyone no matter where they are from and how much money they have. Heck I got DQ'd in three classes last week from hiting the rope to not getting truck started in time to truck not starting again after being told to shut it off 2 times. Mess happens guys. I love to race my kids love to race , my girlfriend and her kids love to race, don''t really care what you do with the rules I will abide by them or find some place that has rules that I can make my truck fit into. You have to remember that some people cant keep changing their truck to race every year. Now as far as the statement about cheating, you know if you are cheating or not, and karma is a bit*h I promise it will get ya dont worry about the racers or the tech man or the track owners. I don't know who is cheating and if someone needs to cheat to beat me or mine well so be it. Hope they ca n sleep well at night. I sleep beautifully and if any one wants to look at my stuff just look the hoods are probably open if not just ask and they will be.

Guess I need to go buy a Shafroff to run in the superstreet class. Its ok i'll just build a hank off motor that isn't 14 years old look out its gonna pull the front wheels. Had a good time except for the drama. Remember its for fun and enjoyment. Glad to hear the complements that I had a Shafroff in the truck makes me feel good to put into that catagory with the little 406 but guess it just isn't bigenough any more. You know the old sayin go big or stay home. I don't like to stay home. Might have to go buy old iron an his 289 to run it in super street. Na gotta keep the bowtie.
Old Blue:
Hank You would look good it a FORD u would never go back to a bowtie Ha Ha ps add more water
